Hollywood came to Villa São Paulo

Hollywood came to Villa São Paulo

Last Saturday, Hollywood came to Villa São Paulo. It is on the theme of cinema that our two Portuguese grooms of the week chose to get married by the sea. This very charming theme has led the wedding by the sea from A to Z: decoration, animation, photos and even ceremony!

They probably chose the Villa São Paulo because of its location by the sea but also because in this sumptuous villa, perfect to get married in Portugal, you feel like a movie star. So they made their wedding day as if it was a movie Premiere with the two of them as main actors. Elegant in their suit, it is like paparazzi that the wedding photographer and friends took wonderful pictures of them with the Ocean as surrounding as they were getting married by the sea. It was a moving ceremony by the sea but also very funny since it has been made as a play.

But the most impressive was happening in the dining room! After having had a drink in the garden by the sea, the guests discovered the amazing decoration which was all about cinema, with film posters with their face, video cameras as holding-candle and claps for the sitting plan and menus.

There was also a photo booth to entertain the guests which made them laugh so much, it consists in taking funny pictures with accessories like glasses, hats, moustaches… Even the organization team couldn’t resist and tried, it was so much fun!

But the grooms went further, having cake toppers with their proper faces! No doubt that this wedding day by the sea was their day!

Such a wedding by the sea was worthy of movie stars, everybody enjoyed and had fun during this cinema themed wedding.

Time for dinner!

The wedding diner took place in the backyard, on a long table lightened by lanterns hung above the guests’ heads. The lovely vintage centrepieces were composed of pastel coloured flowers and candles everywhere. The decoration for a Vintage Wedding in Portugal is very simple, you just have to put pastel colours like we did with white tablecloth, pink placemats and flowered napkins. Nearby was a huge basin where were floating flowers, a romantic touch to intensify the vintage decoration.

The April temperature in Portugal with its bright sun and warmth were perfect for a show-cooking barbecue dinner in the huge yard.  The just married Dutch couple and their guests could completely enjoy the Portuguese climate and rustic venues from the country’s heritage.

Up on the first floor, the big living room has been turned into a dance floor with music, lights and projector, to dance and party all night long to celebrate this unforgettable Vintage wedding in Portugal.casamento-adraga-29

Lee & Michelle Wedding

A wedding in Portugal

Last weekend, we made a wedding by the sea whose theme was “orange”.
This couple from London, UK, was very pleased to get married in Portugal under such a bright sun. Attracted by the sumptuous villas by the sea and the beautiful landscapes that the country can offer, they choose Portugal as wedding destination.

A Portuguese ceremony

The wedding ceremony was outdoors of a villa in a beautiful garden with sea sight, in which was set up a canopy with white voiles, flowers arrangements and a red carpet covered of roses petals. So romantic! In front of the sea and under the canopy and the sun of Portugal, it was celebrated in Portuguese, as the law says and then translated in English, mother tongue of the bride and groom. This way, this wedding in Portugal seemed more real and typical to the couple and guests. In these heavenly surroundings, the photographer made splendid photos which will make a magnificent wedding picture album to have marvellous memories. With white poufs, the guests could enjoy the sun and the wonderful sight of the sea while celebrating this wedding in Portugal having a cocktail near the pool served by waiters and listening to music.

 An original wedding decoration

The only rule being “orange”, we let our imagination run wild to finally make a decoration mainly made of oranges in wicker baskets and orange flowers. With very simple things we can make so original decorations for a wedding, this orange colour everywhere reminded the sun and brought warmth and summer in the garden and the dining room. Tables were lovely, dominated by the centrepieces made of oranges and flowers in a glass bowl. Orange flowers were tightened around the napkins with orange ribbon and seating plans sunk in half oranges leaving a nice touch and a delicious smell of Algarve, main orange producing region in Portugal. We tried  to break these English people’s habits, showing the best side of this country to make the experience of getting married in Portugal even more unforgettable.
