The Arriba by the Sea wedding venue by the sea hosted the wedding reception and dinner of Paula and Américo. This couple got married at the Monastery of Jeronimos in Lisbon, their religious wedding ceremony venue. The Arriba by the Sea was their choice to celebrate their wedding because of the closeness to the sea and for being right above the beach, their dream wedding destination in Portugal.
In the meantime, the catering and owner of the venue, A Casa do Marquês, was getting everything ready for the bride and groom and their guests. While the first team was in the kitchen, starting to cook, another one was preparing the bar and setting a lounge outside, by the pool. Finally, in the dining room upstairs, the tables were being set with glasses, tablecloths and napkins according to the main colours of the decoration: beige and green.
Effectively, the whole table decoration was done by the bride and groom and their family. Since they are Mining Engineers and part of their families come from Estremoz, a region known for its marble stones, the couple choose a 100% homemade decoration with nature and stones as the main theme. The centrepieces were cactus in aquariums and Estremoz stones with candles in vials above a mirror and a marble piece. The bride also made lovely green beaded ornaments for napkins as well as shiny green decoration items. She also made by herself little frames with photos of Nature for the tables’, identifying them with names like “smile, complicity, purpose, memories...”
At 14:30, the newlyweds finally arrived! They made their entry with their guests cheering them on while having their cocktails around the pool with the sea as a background. The wonderful weather on this day was perfect for this wedding venue by the sea!
Dinner time has come! It is time for the Portuguese couple and their guests to discover the dining room and see the result of all their work and effort. In this design venue made of glass, the bride, groom and their 140 guests could enjoy the view of the Ocean while savouring the delicious wedding meal made and served by Casa do Marquês.
The day ended with dancing and endless clebration with everyone enjoying the party!
