Praia do Abano is right next to the Guincho’s beach, even though there are less people because of the strong wind and waves. Otherwise, this is a pure and natural landscape for a ceremony by the sea.
Praia da Santa Marta, is a small beach next to the Cascais Marina. You can observe here all the architectural heritage of Portugal, with the “Lapias Costeiro”, a limestone made by the erosion. This is the former private beach of the Castro Guimarães Counts, we can see nearby the Museum of Castro Guimarães Counts which used to be their Palace.
Praia do São Pedro do Estoril, a great place for a ceremony with its wonderful sight on the sea. This beach is bordered by beautiful cliffs, ravines and high waves which offer perfect conditions for surf and sport fishing. If you like sea sports, this is the perfect wedding destination.
Praia das Avencas, is the place to be to get married if you like Nature. The only way to get there is an underground path. Diving is the main activity since this beach is full of sea life animals and plants. You can also walk along a path made in the rocks where you can find a bar and enjoy.
Praia das Moitas, is a nice small beach delimited by a maritime path, promenade and esplanades to enjoy the pure sea breeze. This is a lovely place for a wedding and venue by the sea.
Praia de Carcavelos, is one of the biggest beaches of Cascais, next to the Forte São Julião da Barra, very appreciated by surfers because of the strength of the waves which permit international championships. You can have a walk around the area along esplanades where you will find several restaurants enjoying a delicious meal and the sea sight.
Praia da Parede, has a huge esplanade with lots of restaurants and cafés to enjoy the view on the ocean and discover the typical Portuguese gastronomy. It is a great wedding destination if you dream of a wedding by the sea at sunset.
Praia da Rainha, a very small hidden beach with calm sea, was the favourite of Kings and Queens. It is located nearby the centre of Cascais, between cliffs which creates an atmosphere of privacy, perfect for cosy wedding ceremonies.
Praia do Guincho, is the biggest and most popular of all the Cascais beaches. Every year lots of people are attracted by this natural beautiful Heaven surrounded by dunes, thin sand, bright sky and crystal clear water, a perfect setting for a wedding by the sea. When the tide is low, you can see a volcano chimney. International championships of surf, kite surf and windsurf are also organized on this idyllic beach.
Praia do Tamariz has all you could require to enjoy your trip to Portugal. This is a safe place of fun since it is a watched beach, with access to people with reduced mobility, surrounded by several restaurants, high quality hotels, night parties, and water sports such as sailing, windsurf, sport fishing... This beach is easy to reach, near train and bus station, as well as the avenue leading to the Estoril Casino which is the biggest one in the whole Europe. The Tamariz’s beach could be then, a perfect wedding destination.
You will also enjoy Praia da Poça, with the same safety characteristics as Praia do Tamariz, Poça’s Beach has a great view to Forte da Cavadeira and Forte Velho. These two fortified castles as architectural heritage make a beautiful landscape which could fit to a Princess wedding ceremony by the sea.
Near this beach, you will find Praia da Azarujinha, high up on the cliffs of the coast, the beauty of this place is very appreciated. If you like Nature and privacy, this is where you will find exclusive wedding venues.
Praia da Bafureira is the smallest beach of Cascais separated from São Pedro do Estoril by rocks called arriba which turned it into a private beach, very appreciated by surfers. Such a view on the ocean and cliffs, guarantees a wonderful ceremony.
If you are looking for a marvellous venue by the sea, come to Praia da Conceição, called this way because of the “Nossa Senhora da conceição” Chapel nearby. More than a ceremony, this beach can host all your relatives and friends with the amount of hotels surrounding the place. When it is low tide, you can walk to the next beach.
This beach is Praia da Duquesa, named after the Palace of Pamela’s Dukes. With its very clean water and water activities, this is the perfect place for people who love diving and for those who have more extreme ideas such as an underwater wedding ceremony or getting married on a boat.
Praia da Grota, is a very small and discrete beach located between the rocks Cabo da Roca with a little water fall. If you have a special connection with Nature and like privacy, this tiny beach (where nudism is allowed) could be a good wedding destination.
